DOCO Introduces a Series of FREE “On the Green” Special Events and Activities This Fall
Sacramento, Calif. – DOCO (Downtown Commons) is proud to announce a series of fun and free “On the Green” pop-up activations happening in October on the inviting outdoor plaza adjacent to Golden 1 Center and surrounded by a mix of locally-owned and national retailers, restaurants, bars and other engaging businesses that will continue to open on a rolling basis in the coming weeks. The all-new “On the Green” activities will continue throughout the fall season and beyond.
“After an incredibly successful inaugural Farm-to-Fork Brunch at DOCO plaza, we are very excited to roll out a series ‘On the Green’ activities that are available for everyone to experience and enjoy,” said John Rinehart, President of Business Operations for the Sacramento Kings. “This innovative space adjacent to Golden 1 Center was created to bring the community together, and these new ‘On the Green’ activities at DOCO are just the beginning of even more ways to showcase the very best Sacramento has to offer.”
Wellness “On the Green” Zumba – Thursday, October 4 at 10 a.m.
Guests of all ages are encouraged to enjoy a free, one-hour Zumba class “On the Green” at DOCO plaza courtesy of 24 Hour Fitness. Space is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Wellness “On the Green” Yoga – Friday, October 5 at 10 a.m.
The community is invited to enjoy a free, one-hour yoga class “On the Green” at DOCO plaza courtesy of 24 Hour Fitness. Space is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Silent Disco “On the Green” – Fridays in October from 7 to 10 p.m.
Upbeat and popular local DJ's will spin different music styles heard only through individual free headsets available to check-out and borrow (while supplies last) for a unique outdoor music experience in the heart of downtown Sacramento. Interested guests can take their pick of musical styles and dance the night away to one of the three talented DJ's on-site. Spectators are welcome to watch the entertaining experience as well.
Movies “On the Green” – Most Saturdays (and One Sunday*) in October from 7:30 to 10 p.m.
Guests of all ages will enjoy a memorable movie experience on a 25-foot outdoor movie screen on special display at DOCO plaza. Moviegoers can listen on one of the free headsets available to check-out and borrow (while supplies last) or through the listen app on individual smartphones and earbuds. Participants are encouraged to bring a blanket or borrow one available on-site (while supplies last); no lawn chairs please. While movie viewing is free, guests who make a minimum $20 DOCO food purchase between 6-9 p.m. on the day of the event can enter and enjoy a special VIP seating area for an optimal experience.

Concerts “On the Green” – Sundays in October from 3 to 5 p.m.
The community is invited to relax and enjoy soothing sounds at DOCO plaza on Sunday afternoons while listening to rotating Sacramento Philharmonic ensembles ranging from traditional to experimental classical music.
Second Saturday: Family “On the Green” – October 13 from 10 a.m. to noon
Local families are invited to gather the kids for a fun, new activity on the Second Saturday of every month at DOCO plaza. The new monthly series kicks off with Bubble Soccer and Sumo Wrestling in October. Guests of all ages can suit up and compete to win fun prizes from DOCO retailers.
