DOCO Shops, Eateries and Restaurants Offer Festive Ways to Celebrate the Holidays

Sacramento, Calif. – Decked out in festive décor, photo opportunities and more, DOCO (Downtown Commons) is excited to share ways shoppers, diners, and guests can get into the holiday spirit. To get a jump start on holiday shopping, DOCO is hosting its annual Holiday Makers Market presented by River City Marketplace this Saturday, November 23, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. More than 20 local vendors, crafters and makers will be showcasing a variety of unique gifts including handmade jewelry, candles, artistry, bath and body products, and other specialty items. Plus, a popular DJ will provide upbeat entertainment to add to the festivities. 

A sampling of the holiday specials and activations include: 

Cabana Club: Launching this Friday (November 22), the Palm Springs inspired cocktail lounge and eatery will offer an Après-Ski Winter Pop Up featuring spiked hot cocoa, peppermint mocha martini, and hot buttered rum along with new menu options such as s’mores, fondue, and a wintry photo opportunity. 

Cakes by Jeff the Chef: Hungry holiday shoppers who purchase a deliciously rich 4” cheesecake will also receive a free cheesecake slice, valid through the end of the year. 

Kimpton Sawyer Hotel: The award-winning hotel is offering a Sawyer Shop Cart activation this Saturday (November 23) from 12 to 2 p.m. coinciding with the DOCO Holiday Makers Market, featuring pop-ups by Healed including coffee mugs with positive affirmations, and Priya Originals Art showcasing beautiful Sacramento-inspired hand illustrations and artwork. Plus, a festive winter-themed escape and hotel package titled the ‘Suite Chalet’ is available for overnight stays through January 31 with details available here.  

Lash Lounge: The luxurious lash extension salon is offering limited time specials that include a Hybrid/Volume L1 Full Set with a new Hybrid/Volume/Mega Volume membership. Also, clients can enjoy a 20% discount on Lash Lift, Brow Lamination and Tinting Bundles, with a buy 4, get 1 free offer, valid through December 31. 

Phenom:  The locally owned sneaker, streetwear, and lifestyle boutique is offering a Buy One, Get One Free special on all clothing and accessories through November 30 (available in-store at the DOCO location only). 

Polanco Cantina: The vibrant, contemporary restaurant and bar serving lunch, dinner, weekend brunch, and weekday happy hour, features Mexican-inspired favorites that make for great holiday gift card giving and memorable parties. Punch Bowl Social: For those looking to pair holiday play with delicious food and drinks, Punch Bowl Social has it all, including weekend brunch with $5 mimosas and 50% off games (bowling, karaoke, table games – does not include arcade) plus $10 holiday drink specials with festive names such as To Me You are Just Perfect (with a 4-person option for $40), We Slept In, I Triple Dog Dare Ya, and Son of a Nutcracker.  

Revival at the Sawyer: With spectacular views overlooking the plaza, the iconic bar and lounge is serving up nostalgia through a seasonal punchbowl on Fridays and Saturdays featuring Ponche Navideño made with plantaray rum, hibiscus, pineapple, apple, cloves, cinnamon, and lemon for plenty of holiday cheers. And, as a home game night only special, Revival is bringing back the Kings Caddie Cocktail, joined by Purple Reign and The King Maker. Plus, $1 from each hummus and pita and Brewed Awakening cocktail purchase will be donated to the No Kid Hungry campaign.

The 7th Street Standard*: Known for its welcoming and approachable fine dining experience, the popular restaurant adjacent to DOCO is offering a special menu for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day dinner featuring a delicious roasted Cornish Game Hen or Prime Rib and Sticky Toffee Pudding. Trophy Club at Tipsy Putt*: The area’s premier speakeasy bar is offering a “Club Blitzen” pop-up – a cozy, reindeer-inspired holiday bar perfect for kicking off the season with spiked warm cocktails. Club Blitzen is open to the public (adults 21+) through the New Year.

Wetzel’s Pretzels*: In celebration of the holiday season and its 30th anniversary, Wetzel’s Pretzels has rolled out two new frozen hot chocolate beverages, both crafted with decadent Ghirardelli chocolate. Additionally, from November 28 through December 2, Wetzel’s Rewards members can score $2 off orders of $15 or more, in-store or online by using the code SHOPPING in the Wetzel’s Rewards app.

Willow Restaurant*:  Amidst a graceful and inviting ambiance, Willow is offering a specially curated, four-course Thanksgiving menu from 1 to 7:30 p.m. Then, on December 5 at 6 p.m., Willow is presenting an evening of elegance and culinary artistry as part of an exclusive Daou Wine Dinner. Advance reservations for both experiences are available via OpenTable. Plus, guests can participate in the Toys for Tots holiday campaign by donating a new, unwrapped toy in the lobby of The Exchange Sacramento. 

The plaza offers a DOCO Rewards loyalty program with prizes, discounts, incentives and benefits for shopping, dining, playing, staying, and completing activities via the online app. Free to download, the DOCO Rewards app is available via the Apple Store and Google Play. New members receive 200 points for signing up. In addition, shoppers will earn double reward points on Black Friday weekend (November 29-December 1). DOCO is an outdoor shopping, dining, and entertainment destination in the heart of downtown Sacramento. Convenient parking is available in DOCO’s central garage with an entrance on J Street between 4th & 5th Streets. Parking validation is available at most DOCO tenants with a purchase. The elevators and escalators take guests up to the plaza’s main level and second level terrace near many of the restaurants, eateries, and retail tenants. 

In addition, in support of Small Business Saturday, SacRT is offering free rides on bus and light rail on November 30. Shoppers must print or screenshot the free ride flyer to show as proof of fare to ride free here.
