DOCO to Light Up the Holidays with Free Festivities and Family-Friendly Drone Light Shows

Sacramento, Calif. – DOCO (Downtown Commons), the Sacramento Kings, Golden 1 Center are excited to present a special “DOCO Lights Up the Holidays” activation on Saturday, December 3 that culminates with two thrilling drone light shows on the plaza. In addition, the Sacramento Kings will run an additional drone show following their game on December 4. 

DOCO Lights Up the Holidays on December 3:

• Noon to 6 p.m.: Free family-friendly activities including “Selfies with Santa” in the west plaza (across from Insomnia Cookies). 

• 3 to 6 p.m.:  Cookie decorating presented by Insomnia Cookies, face painting and airbrush tattoo applications for kids in the west plaza. Plus, holiday characters and carolers will be roaming the plaza and a DJ will be on hand to entertain guests.    

• 5:30 & 6:30 p.m.: Two spectacular 10-minute free drone light shows will be on display in the main plaza in front of Golden 1 Center. 

The plaza offers a DOCO Rewards loyalty program with prizes, discounts, incentives and benefits for shopping, dining, playing, staying and completing activities via the online app. As a special incentive on December 3, shoppers will receive double points for the day. Free to download, the DOCO Rewards app is available via the Apple Store and Google Play. Plus, new members receive their first 200 points for signing up. DOCO is an outdoor shopping, dining, and entertainment destination in the heart downtown Sacramento. Convenient parking is available in DOCO’s central garage with an entrance on J Street between 4th & 5th Streets. Parking validation is available at most DOCO tenants with a purchase. The elevators and escalators take guests up to the plaza’s main level and second level terrace near many of the restaurants, eateries and retail tenants.
