By Travel + Leisure Readers

-- The Sawyer is the Only Hotel in Sacramento Recognized on Prestigious List --

Sacramento, Calif. – DOCO (Downtown Commons), the Sacramento Kings, Golden 1 Center and JMA Ventures are proud to announce the Kimpton Sawyer Hotel has been recognized as one of the world’s Top 500 hotels by the readers of Travel + Leisure magazine.  Centrally located at DOCO, with entrances on J Street and the main plaza level, the Kimpton Sawyer opened in October 2017 and is the only Sacramento hotel to be included on this coveted list. Readers rated hotels based on rooms and facilities, location, service, food, and value. The complete T+L 500 list is featured in the current March issue of Travel + Leisure magazine as well as online via www.travelandleisure.com.

“The T+L 500 is a trusted resource to help inspire and guide travelers onto their next adventure,

and we’re very proud of landing on such a coveted list, especially as the only Sacramento hotel featured,” said Kimpton Sawyer Hotel General Manager Nikki Carlson. “We dedicate ourselves to providing a vibrant guest experience for everyone who walks through our doors, striving to deliver personalized service through dynamic programming and authentic hospitality. On behalf of the entire Kimpton Sawyer team, we are truly honored.”

With 250 luxurious and spacious rooms, the Kimpton Sawyer draws inspiration from the region’s breathtaking natural beauty with bright pops of color and milled California oak woodwork, thoughtfully designed for comfort and ease. The hotel features 35 suites providing panoramic views of Golden 1 Center and downtown. Premium suite options offer jetted soaking tubs for two, separate living areas, sizeable workspaces, plush robes, and luxury bath amenities.

The hotel’s third floor features Sacramento’s first ever rooftop pool as well as the hotel’s bar and lounge, Revival at the Sawyer. The lounge overlooks Golden 1 Center and DOCO, featuring a sleek and sophisticated vibe. From sun-up to sun-down, hotel guests can enjoy six cabanas and order poolside snacks during the day, elevated bites in the evening and handcrafted cocktails that incorporate Sacramento’s farm-to-fork movement.

Additional amenities include in-room yoga mats, complimentary PUBLIC bikes, hosted evening wine hour, pet-friendly accommodations, same day laundry/dry cleaning, 24-hour fitness center, morning coffee/tea service and valet parking.

Offering guests and locals alike a selection of innovative programming, the Kimpton Sawyer recently launched the following springtime experiences:

  • Cabana Series – Inviting guests to immerse themselves in Sacramento’s rich culture, the hotel has debuted new cabana packages. From capturing the stunning skyline through watercolor and a sketchbook set, to trying out Revival’s off-the-menu dishes, the hotel has introduced fun offerings for guests to enjoy.
