DOCO Announces First Sunday in November as Impound Day

Sacramento, Calif. – DOCO (Downtown Commons), the Sacramento Kings, Golden 1 Center and local store owner Brent “Trayce” Sands are excited to announce the first Sunday in November as Impound Day in Sacramento. The first Sunday in November marks the debut of the first Impound! comic book one year ago, followed by the Impound Comics storefront opening at DOCO in August 2021. To celebrate the first anniversary on Sunday, November 7, Impound Comics will release the much-anticipated Impound 3 comic book that explains how the main character, Anthony “Impound” Endsley, gets his powers. This storyline sets the stage for suspenseful superhero feats and adventures in future issues. In celebration, the shop will be open extended hours from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., offer special giveaways to shoppers and “Trayce,” the comic book creator, will be on-hand for free signings.

“The one-year anniversary of the creation of the Impound! comic book series is the landmark I’ve been waiting for,” said Impound Comics store owner Brent “Trayce” Sands. “A year ago, I certainly didn’t expect or imagine where I’d be today with an amazing storefront in the iconic DOCO plaza. I consider it the official beginning of an even more exciting future to come.”

Throughout the store, shoppers will find Impound! comic books, a popular series that follows single father and aspiring MMA fighter Anthony “Impound” Endsley, who encounters several chaotic events that transform him into Sacramento’s first superhero. The shop also offers new holographic trading cards, hand-painted figures, children’s books, branded merchandise such as t-shirts, hoodies, coffee mugs and key chains, along with other comic books “in the Impound universe.” In addition, the comic shop is vibrantly decorated with eye-catching artwork by local artists, has action figures (made from Legos®) on special display and offers tablets for shoppers to play interactive video games.
