Insomnia Cookies to Open Its First Bakery in Sacramento at DOCO on October 19
Sacramento, Calif. – Downtown Commons (DOCO) is proud to announce that Insomnia Cookies will officially open its first Sacramento shop on the west end of the plaza (414 K Street) on Saturday, October 19 at 12 p.m. The popular late-night bakery specializes in serving and delivering freshly made cookies, brownies, cookie cakes plus ice cream and even cold milk seven days a week. Insomnia Cookies at DOCO will offer popular cookie flavors including Chocolate Chunk, Snickerdoodle, Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup, and the S’Mores Deluxe along with a full ice cream menu, and more. Once opened, local bakery hours are as follows: 9 a.m. until 3 a.m. on weekdays and 11 a.m. until 3 a.m. on weekends.
With more than 160 locations throughout the United States, the Insomnia Cookies business concept was launched in 2003 by Seth Berkowitz, a student at the University of Pennsylvania. The bakery at DOCO is the fifth location to open in California, and the first in Sacramento.

Special Grand Opening celebrations will take place on Saturday, October 26 from 1 to 3 p.m. Grand Opening activities will include exciting fanfare, sweet deal and a prize wheel with special giveaways. During this time, the bakery will have two exclusive offers for interested customers: a Six Pack of Traditional Cookies for $5 or a Sugar Rush (12 Traditional Cookies) for $10. In addition to the sweet deal, customers can swing by and spin the prize wheel for the chance to win a free cookie, Insomnia Swag, and more. Offers are limited to retail at the Sacramento store and one per customer from 1 to 3 p.m. on Saturday October 26 only.
