PRIDE Weekend at DOCO Al Fresco
Celebrate PRIDE Weekend at DOCO Al Fresco on June 26-27
-- Special Activation in Partnership with the Sacramento LGBT Community Center includes Live Music, Local Drag Performances, LGBTQ+ Comedians, and More --
Sacramento, Calif. – DOCO (Downtown Commons), the Sacramento Kings and Golden 1 Center are proud to partner with the Sacramento LGBT Community Center to celebrate a family-friendly PRIDE Weekend at DOCO Al Fresco on Saturday, June 26 from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday from 2 to 9 p.m.
To kick off the fun and free activities, representatives from the Sacramento LGBT Community Center will welcome guests to the plaza, share background about the Center and its mission to support a vibrant and culturally-rich community, and explain the importance of Pride Month in June. Guests to the iconic plaza will be treated to a variety of special activations that include entertaining live music, crowd-favorite drag show performances, LGBTQ+ comedians, specialty cocktails (for purchase), and more.
The six DOCO restaurants and beverage providers for the Al Fresco dining experience include Echo & Rig, Local Eats at Golden 1 Center, Polanco Cantina, Sauced BBQ & Spirits, Tahoe Blue Ridge Bar, and Yard House. With 55 physically distanced tables on the common areas of the main plaza, DOCO Al Fresco can accommodate up to 150 guests. This seating is in addition to the extended outdoor seating currently offered by several DOCO restaurants and eateries.
As part of the PRIDE Weekend celebration, two specialty adult cocktails will be offered from the Tahoe Blue Ridge Bar that include the brilliantly colored Tahoe Blue Pride and the Spicy Rainbow-Rita. Plus, the Bud Light Seltzer Jeep will be on-site to support Bud Light Seltzer’s special addition Pride Pack, where $1 from every case sold is donated to LGBTQ advocacy efforts.
Advanced reservations are available, and walk-ins are welcome. To request reservations for groups of 13 or more, please visit docoalfresco@legends.net (include name, preferred date, time, and number in party). Once seated, diners scan a QR code from their mobile device and choose from pull down menus of the participating DOCO restaurants. Powered by Rooam, a user-friendly app allows diners to order from multiple restaurants at once and watch live progress of their selections as they are received, prepared, and delivered to the table. All beverages, including beer, wine, and cocktails, will be serviced from the Tahoe Blue Ridge Bar on the plaza and ordered while seated at individual tables. Guests can receive one check – regardless of how many restaurants they ordered from – or opt for multiple checks by individual order and pay via a seamless and contactless system that includes Apple Pay, Google Pay or credit/debit card options.
