Showcasing Specially Themed Brews, Food, Music & More on the Plaza

Sacramento, Calif. – DOCO (Downtown Commons), the Sacramento Kings, and Golden 1 Center in partnership with Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Sacramento at Fire Mountain will present a special “Rocktoberfest” themed activation on Saturday, October 24, as part of the expanded outdoor dining experience known as “DOCO Al Fresco.”  The community is invited to enjoy themed food items, beer/drink specials, and entertaining live music.  Ambassadors from Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Sacramento at Fire Mountain will be on-hand to connect with the community plus offer member sign-ups and prizes. In addition, outdoor dining guests will have the opportunity to win gift cards provided by DOCO tenants every half hour.

“We’re thankful to have established roots in Sacramento this past year and an event like this highlights the unique, and truly vibrant community around us as we come together to enjoy an ‘authentic experience that ROCKS’ at a premier Sacramento venue,” said Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Sacramento at Fire Mountain President Mark Birtha. “Entertainment is core to the DNA of the Hard Rock brand and we’re proud to partner with DOCO, the Sacramento Kings, and Golden 1 Center on such a special event.”

A few of the “DOCO Al Fresco” food and drink specialty menu items available for “Rocktoberfest” include Brats & Tots, Polish Sausage & Tots, Pretzel & Bier Cheese and featured beer specials from Local Eats at Golden 1 Center, along with specials from other participating eateries.  “DOCO Al Fresco” will be open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on October 24. While walk-ins are welcome, advance reservations are encouraged and can be made online at DOCOSacramento.com/AlFresco.  

Plus, plaza guests will have the opportunity to enjoy a variety of free live music with a diverse and eclectic line-up as follows:

  • Noon to 2 p.m. – Inner Soul, a sophisticated R&B/Sacramento Old School dance band
  • 3:30 to 6 p.m. – Rod Stinson Band, a Sacramento-based reggae band
  • 7 to 9:30 p.m. – Two Step, Northern California’s premiere Dave Matthews Tribute band

Parking validation is available at most DOCO tenants with a purchase, including for “DOCO Al Fresco” diners. Convenient “to-go” parking is also available at 7th & K Streets for curbside pick-ups. 

An outdoor shopping, dining, and entertainment destination in the heart downtown Sacramento, DOCO remains open with safety modifications in place. Convenient parking is available in DOCO’s central garage with an entrance on J Street between 4th & 5th Streets. The elevators and escalators take guests up to the plaza’s main level and terrace near many of the restaurants, eateries, and retail tenants.
