Stylish Full-Service Salon & Spa, Tru Aesthetics, to Open at DOCO in Spring 2020

Sacramento, Calif. – Today, DOCO (Downtown Commons), the Sacramento Kings and the local owners of Byüti Salon & Spa Inc., announced that a full-service luxury salon and spa – named Trü Aesthetics – will open at DOCO in Spring 2020. The upscale salon will be adjacent to the Kimpton Sawyer Hotel in a 2,600-square foot space with the main public entrance on the DOCO Plaza looking out to Golden 1 Center (just across from Echo & Rig) along with a private VIP entrance from the mixed-use tower lobby. In addition to providing full-service spa treatments in the beautiful and relaxing new spa, Trü Aesthetics will also provide periodic poolside braiding services and in-room spa services to Kimpton Sawyer Hotel guests upon request.

Trü Aesthetics is the second local spa and salon owned by Jill and Grant Petersen, who have owned Byüti (pronounced “Beauty”) Salon + Spa in downtown Sacramento (1414 H Street) since 2005. The Petersens bring 15 years of successful salon and spa business ownership experience, more than 25 years of industry experience, and have received multiple industry awards and accolades.

This enhanced Trü Aesthetics salon will be the first full-service aesthetics spa of its kind in the greater Sacramento region, offering a full suite of salon, spa and wedding services and premier medical-grade services performed by its renowned medical director and facial plastic surgeon, Jonathan Sykes MD.  With more than 30 years of medical aesthetics experience, Dr. Sykes has served as the Director of Facial Plastic Surgery at UC Davis Medical Center for over 25 years.

“We are thrilled to welcome Trü Aesthetics to DOCO and are excited that our guests will soon be able to enjoy yet another extraordinary experience when they visit our plaza,” said DOCO General Manager Christi Woodards. “With a commitment to excellence in all that they do, Trü is a perfect fit with and complement to our high-quality tenant mix at DOCO.”

With a highly trained staff of 25+, Trü Aesthetics will provide the very best in customer service and will offer an elevated spa and salon experience. With an overall theme of “peace and privacy” for guests and residents of DOCO, their philosophy is to value the environment by using products with natural, organic, and botanical elements.

Centrally located in the heart of downtown Sacramento, DOCO was developed in partnership by JMA Ventures and the Sacramento Kings. The thriving outdoor plaza is a must-visit entertainment, shopping and lifestyle destination that showcases some of the very best the city has to offer in terms of retailers, bars, restaurants, office space and more. Guests can enjoy shopping at a fantastic mix of retailers, indulging at amazing restaurants, bars and eateries, and being part of engaging events and activities that help to make DOCO a dynamic community gathering place.
